Upgrade existing interceptor to a double skinned full retention class 1 separator

What was the problem the end-user had:
Existing interceptor needed upgrading to comply with current regulations and Octane was called as they had the engineers and groundwork team to carry out all the work required.

Solution:
Existing Oil Water Separator (OWS) removed and new class I Separator installed. Due to it being on an American Airbase a new double skinned full retention class 1 separator was installed which complied with American regulations.

  • Step 1: Install shoring and concrete base.

  • Step 2: Position new double skinned separator and secure to base.

  • Step 3: Concrete and fill separator.

  • Step 4: Remove shoring.

  • Step 5: Connect all Inlet / outlet pipework.

  • Step 6: Reinstate the area.

Outcome:
The outcome for this client was a fully compliant double skinned full retention class 1 separator and the fuel storage tanks cleaned with the fuel spun back into both the petrol and diesel tanks.
